Color: Defrost Tray Verified Purchase

Purchased because of 4.4 out of 5 star reviews by over 200 people. After 4 months with only minor use I have a defrosting tray only 1 foot pad on the bottom and a big piece of the teflon like coating that just flaked off.

 I would like to note that I am not tough on my kitchen utensils and try to make them last as long as possible. 

The product does work, but it takes a long time to defrost items. It took over two hours to thaw a frozen rib eye, about the same time it takes if I just leave it in the sink.
The pads on the bottom are just glued on and have no structural attachment to the tray and that is understandable, but not acceptable. 

The teflon type coating flaking off is a true sign of a substandard product. Of course the product is no longer returnable, so into the recycling it goes, Thanks VonShef.
FYI, underneath the coating the tray is just a piece of aluminum.

看看日本人的解释： 就是铝板导热效率高而已。不过日本人的对照组太龌龊了，选用了陶瓷和铝板进行比较。

如此说来，选导热系数高的金属板就好了嘛。就导热系数来说，铝就不是一个最好的选择。

常见金属中导热系数最好的是银(411 W/m.K)， 其次是纯铜 (398 W/m.k)，而纯铝只有 237 W/m.k。
 从经济上来说，可以选的就是铜了.

铜比较重，而且不耐腐蚀，可能是这个原因没有被选作导热板。不过就DIY来说，说不定可以奏效。 

Mac上在线Tex编辑工具 sharetex.com 如何支持中文

sharetex.com 是一个在线编写tex，直接编译查看pdf的好工具。

但是缺省配置是for洋大人，不能支持中文。

其实只需要修改一个地方:

将编译器修改为 XeLaTeX 即可。

同时在编写TeX 源文件的时候，

写入   \usepackage{xeCJK}

就可以在sharetex.com 用中文撰写了。

在Mac OSX 上X11窗口可视化运行调试postscript

1. install ghostscript on Mac OS X
   kunth 的网站上有一个 ghostscript for Mac OS X installation package

    2 .在 https://www.xquartz.org 安装XQuartz  的相关包

     

    3. 然后调换 gs 的命令行

 ls -l /usr/local/bin/gs

/usr/local/bin/gs -> /usr/local/bin/gs-noX11

 sudo ln -sf   /usr/local/bin/gs-X11 /usr/local/bin/gs

     当然也可以不替换，每次执行 gs-X11 就好了

    这样就可以在terminal.app 中执行 gs >> showpage 的时候，实时看到执行的结果了。
