想起两段话

There is a famous phrase by Martin Niemoller that was engraved on the Boston Jewish Holocaust Memorial:
“They came first for the Communists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me,
and by that time no one was left to speak up.”
and Another: by spencer
While there is a lower class I am in it。
While there is a criminal elements I am of it。
While there is a soul in prison I am not free。
只要世上还有下层阶级,我就和他们在一起;
只要人间还有犯罪成分,就包含了我的参与;
只要狱底还有一个游魂,我就仍然被奴役。
